Arsenal Crashes Out Of The Europa League Following a Schocking defeat to Olympiacos.
Arsenal football club on Thursday, crashed out of the Europa League competition after a painful 2-1 defeat at home to Olympiacos.
Arsenal had a goal advantage in the First-leg round of 32 fixtures, after getting a 1-0 victory, through Alexander Lacazette's only goal at the Karaiskakis Staduim in Athens a week ago.
Mikel Arteta's men fell short to a shocking defeat in the second-leg fixture at the Emirates staduim, with Pape Abou Cisse getting the first goal for Olympiacos in the 53rd minutes.
The match ended in a 1-1 aggregate scoreline at full-time for both teams and so an extra time was needed to decide the winner.
Arsenal's captain Aubameyang equalized fo his team, as he netted a scintillating goal through a Scissors kick in the 113th minutes of extra time making the scoreline 1-1, but (2-1) in aggregate now in favor of Arsenal.
The London side who seems to now have the game in their hands were punished severely following a chaotic defending from a set-piece in the 119th minutes, as Youssef El Arabi netted the second for the Greek side on the night. The match was brought to an end in a 1-2 result after extra time but (2-2) in aggregate.

It's a very disappointing and heartbreaking defeat. We missed some place in the game that cost us the game. "The last minute goal was very unlucky for us. I feel very bad for missing the last minutes chance." "It was a tough game and very tough to find some spaces as they played really deep."
And when asked about his teams qualification hopes for European football next season, he says;
"We will try to keep improving in the league, try to win as many games as possible, and see how many chances we will have to utilise to qualify."
