Good News, As Juventus Confirms That Blaise Matuidi And Daniele Rugani Have Both Recovered From Coronavirus.

Italian gaints Juventus, have confirmed that Blaise Matuidi and Daniele Rugani have both recovered from coronavirus on Wednesday after both players underwent a double check test, which came back negative.





The Italian Centre-back Daniele Rugani '25' l became the first Juventus and SerieA player to have contracted the virus on 12th March, before French Midfielder Blaise Matuidi '32' was reported five-days later to have also tested positive to COVID_19.



According to reports, Italy has been one of the most affected countries in the world with 162,488 confirmed cases and 21,067 leading to death.


"Daniele Rugani and Blaise Matuidi underwent, as per protocol, a double check with diagnostic tests (swabs) for the Coronavirus-Covid 19".... Said the statement released via the clubs website.


"The tests came back with negative results. The players have, therefore, recovered and are no longer subjected to the home isolation regime".



The Italian government has since the Coronavirus outbreak in the country, halted all sporting activities and placed the country on lockdown, in order to reduce the rapid spread of the virus.


All SerieA games which was initially expected to resume on 3rd April, was furtherly suspended, and now looks likely to resume matches next month.

The reigning champions, have also been praised for their commendable act by Italian Football Federation (FIGC) President, for their strong stance against being awarded the Scudetto as they currently top on the league table, before the Covid-19 outbreak.

They lead the league standings with 63 points, one piont above Lazio who are second and 9 points ahead of third place team Inter Milan, with twelve round of matches more to go to conclude the league season.
