Maduka Okoye Out Of The Super Eagles Squad To Face Ghana Due To Illness.

The Super Eagles of Nigeria most handsome goalkeeper, Maduka Okoye has been ruled out of the World Cup qualifying play-off game against the Black Stars of Ghana due to illness.




The 22-year-old shot-stopper has reportedly fallen ill and has not reported to the Super Eagles camp ahead of the first-leg fixture in Kumasi, Ghana on Friday March 25.

He has been replaced by Enyimba goalkeeper John Noble, and it Looks like Francis Uzoho will be in goal for Augustine Eguavoen's side .

According to an official press release from the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) Communications Department, the Sparta Rotterdam goalkeeper could be out of the doubleheader fixture.

"Meanwhile, goalkeeper Maduka Okoye has fallen ill and Coach Augustine Eguavoen has extended an invitation to Enyimba FC goalkeeper John Noble to join the squad." Reads the press statement in part.



Okoye has made 21 appearances for Sparta Rotterdam in the Dutch top division this season.


Other goalkeepers in the Super Eagles camp are Kaizer Chiefs' Daniel Akpeyi and Omonia's Francis Uzoho.
