Messi, Neymar, and Mbappé Wins Their First Trophy Together For PSG After Ligue 1 Triumph.
Paris Saint-Germain are CHAMPIONS of France for the tenth time after Lionel Messi's stunning goal saw them win the trophy yet again.
With four matches to go in the Ligue 1, the French giants have wrestled back the trophy from Lille despite a characteristically disappointing 1-1 draw against Lens result on Saturday evening.
A point was all that was required to ensure that Marseille who are second and yet to play on Sunday away to Reims could not match their points tally.
PSG could only muster a 1-1 draw against 10-man Lens. After a tight first half, Lens defender Kevin Danso was sent off in the 57th minuute, as Lionel Messi made the difference with a rocket of a shot from 25 yards out in the 68th minute.
Kylian Mbappe popped the ball off to Neymar who passed it to his old Barcelona friend to score a sensational shot past the Lens goalkeeper who had no chance.
The Parisians had been leading against the 10 men of Lens until the 88th minute, when an equaliser following a rapid counter attack saw the ball played across to the far post where an outstretched Corentin Jean put the ball beyond Keylor Navas to dampen the party celebrations for the host.
The result sees Neymar, Mbappé and Messi win their first time as PSG players, and hands Mauricio Pochettino his first league title as a coach after last season's second place finish behind Lille, adding to his Coupe de France success and Trophee des Champions with PSG .

Despite the triumph, PSG manager Pochettino was reportedly booed by his own fans on a strange and bizzare night at the Parc Des Princes, as large sections of the support left the stadium in protest.
Pochettino took over midway through the 2020-21 season with PSG second in Ligue 1 and finished the campaign in the same position.
It remains to be seen whether the Ligue 1 trophy is enough to keep the Argentine in the French capital next season, having been initially linked to become Manchester United next manager, but only to miss out when Erik ten Hag got the nod.
PSG were knocked out in the round-of-16 of the Champions League by Real Madrid.

"All the rumours throughout my football career have never really affected me," Pochettino said before the Lens game. "I don't comment on rumours either.
"When I have been in charge of Southampton, Tottenham and now PSG, I have always been fully committed. Rumours are rumours, we don't need to pay attention to them now.
"We know they exist and they are generated on a daily basis. As always, we are focussed on our job at the club."
Meanwhile, while the 2021/22 Ligue 1 title is confirmed, there's still a fight on for the other Champions League places. Marseille are in second place with 62 points, Monaco moved into third spot with 59 points following a 4-1 victory at Saint-Etienne on Saturday, fourth-place Rennes and fifth place Strasbourg have same 56 points, and would both be in action on Sunday.
