Tammy Abraham Reacts To Arsenal Transfer Links.

Tammy Abraham has been heavily linked with a move to Arsenal this summer with Mikel Arteta intent on signing at least one new striker before the start of next season.

Tammy Abraham has been in outstanding form since joining Roma from Chelsea last summer after struggling to secure regular football game time.

Abraham joined the Serie A heavyweights for £34 million at the start of the season, and he has not disappointed under Jose Mourinho's guidance.

The 24-year-old has taken the league by storm in his debut season, scoring 15 league goal in 33 Serie A games, and 24 goals 46 appearancesacross all competitions so far, breaking Argentine's Gabriel Batistuta’s record in 2001 for the most goals scored in a debut season for the Italian club.

His outstanding form has prompted speculation that he could return to the Premier League soon, with London clubs Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham reportedly interested in signing him.

Man City forward Gabriel Jesus, Napoli's Victor Osimhen and Abraham are among the shortlisted profiles who could arrive at Emirates Stadium this summer.

"For me to be doing what I’m doing now for a great club like Roma, I can’t really describe the feeling," Abraham said when asked about his future on Thursday.

"Coming off the back of a difficult season at Chelsea where I wasn’t really playing games, coming here and shining, it’s like a dream come true for me.

"I’m happy playing my football. Of course, you hear the little rumours here and there, different people interested, clearly for me I’m doing the right thing if people are watching.

"Give credit to my teammates, the staff, the manager, they have a big part to play in how well I’m doing.

"For me, like I said, I just want to go all the way and hopefully win a trophy."

Abraham further refused to rule out the prospect of joining Arsenal but insists he is happy playing regular football at Roma.

"Because I was born and raised in England, there are a lot of rumors about teams being interested." If people are interested, I'm certainly doing something right at Roma, as I have stated. He added.

"All I have to do now is stay focused, keep doing what I'm doing, keep playing football, and concentrate on this tournament, where we finish in the league, and we'll see what happens in the future."

Club sources have provided an update on the probable deal, revealing that Roma has set an asking price of £80 million for the striker.

This is the same price as the buyback clause added into his contract by Chelsea after he left the club at the end of last season, implying that their Premier League opponents can match any fee.
