Vinicius Scores First Ever Hattrick, And Benzema Equals Raul's Record As Real Madrid Trash Levante.

Real Madrid cruised to a landslide 6-0 victory over its guest Levante, on Thursday night at the Santiago Bernabeu, in the 36th round of the Spanish League.

The newly crowned La Liga champions bounced back to winning ways following their 1-0 defeat away to Atletico Madrid on Sunday.



Real Madrid took the lead after just 13 minutes through an unlikely source, as Ferland Mendy burst forward to slot the ball home.

Karim Benzema who returned to the side after being rested in the last game, quickly doubled the lead from a Vinicius cross in the 19th minute.

The striker's goal saw him move level with Raul on 323 goals for Real, making them the joint-second highest scorers in the club's history behind Cristiano Ronaldo.


Rodrygo combined with Luka Modric to out the game beyond reach in the 34th minute, as the youngster tapped in from close range.

The Croatian star again got his third assist when he set up Vinicius to score from a tight angle on the stroke of half-time to get their fourth goal.


Vinicius Junior became the hero of the day, as he tapped his second goal in the 68th minute and completed his first ever hat-trick for Real Madrid in the 82nd minute.

The Brazilian received the Man of the Match award, raising his tally to 17 goals in the La Liga this season, his best season since his arrival in the Spanish capital. He also becomes the third top goalscorer in the La Liga, led by his colleague Karim Benzema.



The heavy defeat at the Bernabeu confirmed Levante's relegation from La Liga, while Carlo Ancelotti's men reached the 84th point at the top of the standings, 12 points behind Barcelona in second place.
