Gerard Pique, Reportedly Caught Cheating On Shakira And Are On The Verge Of Splitting Up.

Barcelona defender Gerard Pique is on the news for reportedly cheating on his long-term partner Shakira, having an affair with another woman.

Gerard Pique and Shakira relationship is set to come to an end after falling in love at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.

Pique met the popstar after appearing in the music video for her single Waka Waka, which was the 2010 World Cup’s official song, the duo have since then been in a relationship, but are yet to officially tie the knot.

The couple remain unmarried, and they have been together all this time with Shakira moving to Barcelona to start a family with the footballer. Though their 12 year relationship has seen them have two children, Milan and Sasha. 

However, it looks like things are not okay between the two right now, after the Colombian singer, Shakira Isabel Mebarak Ripoll, reportedly caught her boyfriend cheating with another woman.

Emilio Pérez De Rozas, a journalist who appeared on a live video stream of the podcast Mamarazzis, which is posted every Wednesday on the Instagram and Facebook accounts of the Spanish newspaper El Periodico, insisted that Shakira caught Pique cheating with another woman a few weeks ago, which has led to the alleged split.

The pair have decided to be living separately for a number of weeks, as the Blaugrana defender has packed out of the house that he shares with Shakira, and staying alone in his own bachelor house in the Spanish capital.

The report added that Pique lives a “party lifestyle” which is somewhat out of control, and regularly visits nightclubs such as the Patron and Bling Bling in Barcelona, and the partying has seen Pique and friend, accompanied by other women as well staying out until two and three in the morning.

Pique has also disappeared from Shakira's social media, with the singer frequently posting pictures of the pair in the past, but the last time that happened was in March, while also adding that these could be the main reason the pair could ‘separate’ soon.

While the veracity of the claims is not certain, De Rozas claimed the following: “That is why she (Shakira) would’ve made the decision to separate.

“That is so. It has happened. That is why there is distance. Perhaps there is nothing left, but that [infidelity] has passed.”

According to the Marca, Another sign pointing to disharmony between the couple are the lyrics sung by Shakira in her latest hit 'Te Felicito' with Rauw Alejandro.

Both Shakira and Pique have both avoided uploading anything to their social media platforms in recent times as well, something that usually doesn't bod well.
