BREAKING: Tottenham Complete The Signing Of Another Top Defender This Summer.

In this summer's transfer window, Tottenham Hotspur officially announced the signing of Middlesbrough defender Djed Spence.

The defender signed a deal that runs through to June 2027.

Spence joins the North London club as its sixth acquisition of the summer for an initial fee of £12.5 million, with the possibility of a further £7.5 million in future add-ons.

The England Under-21 international joins a list of players who have partnered with Antonio Conte's team, including Fraser Forster, Ivan Perisic, Yves Bissouma, Richarlison, and Clement Lenglet on loan from Barcelona.

The talented 21-year-old moves on after a successful loan stint at Nottingham Forest, where he assisted them in gaining promotion back to the Premier League the previous season.

Since Emerson Royal is most likely to quit the National Football League after just one season, Spence will now face off against Matt Doherty for the right wing-back position.
