HISTORY: Morocco Becomes The FIRST-EVER African Team To Qualify For The World Cup Semi-Finals After Knocking-Out Portugal.

Morocco have just Knocked-out Portugal from the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

It is an historic win for the Atlas Lions of Morocco as they becomes the first African nation to reach the semi-final stage of a World Cup.

The North African team went into the clash with full confidence having already beaten other European team Belgium and Spain, on penalties in the round of 16.

Youssef En-Nesyri scored the only goal of the game to give Morocco the lead in the 45th minute.

The Sevilla man sent Moroccan fans into jubilation after he headed home a cross from Yahia Attiyat Allah past Diogo Costa.

Cristiano Ronaldo was later introduced as a second-half substitute after Portugal fell behind, but wasn't enough to provide the spark they needed to pull off a come-from-behind win.

The defeat for Portugal ended Ronaldo's last chance of winning the World Cup with his country.

The all-time record between these two teams in the World Cup is now 2-1, with Morocco having won in 1986 and 2022.

Morocco will play the winner of England or France later tonight in the semi-final.
