Pele has been rushed to a hospital with 'Strong Fever'

Brazilian retired professional footballer, Edson Arantes do Nascinmento, popularly known as Pele has been taken to a hospital in Paris as a precaution with 'strong fever' but not thought to be in a life-threatening condition.









Edson Arantes do Nascinmento Pele born 23rd October 1940 in Menas Gerais, Brazil. Age 78 years, He is regarded by many in the sport, including football pundits, players and fans around the globe as the greatest player of all times.


In 1999, he was voted as the World player of the year by the International Federation Of Football History (IFFHS), and also one of the two joint winners of the Federation International de Football Association (FIFA) player of the year award.

At the age of 15 Pele began his playing career for Santos Futebol Clube  (Brazilian Portuguese) known as Santos football club in English, located at Vila Belmiro in the city of Santos, Brazil. And at the age of 16 for the Brazilian national team. During his international career, he is the only player who won three FIFA World Cups in 1958, 1962 and 1970. He is the all time leading goalscorer for Brazil. He finally retired in 1977.

At a sponsors event in Paris, Pele met with France young star Kylian Mbappe who won the FIFA World Cup with France in the just concluded Russia 2018 World Cup tournament, has often be compared to the great Pele but the Paris Saint German striker does not think he will match the Brazil great scoring tally during his career.

                       

Kylian Mbappe who is the only second teenager to score at the World Cup Finals in 2018 as France defeated Crotia 4-2 to lift the trophy has only scored 103 goals in his career compared to Pele 1,025 goals.

The meeting between the pair on Tuesday, after their previous meeting scheduled for last November was cancelled due to the Brazilian poor health. Pele wished Kylian Mbappe luck in his playing time. "I hope that he gets there. To score 1,000 goals is okay because i have 1,025 goals." said the three time World Cup Winner.
