Transfer Record Smashed As Wolves Confirm The Permanent Signing of Raul Jimenez

Wolverhampton Wanderers Football Club of England commonly known as Wolves, has confirmed the permanent signing of the Mexican professional footballer Raul Alonso Jimenez, born May 5 1991, Age 27, who plays as a striker for both the club and the Mexico national team.




The club officially announced on their website Tuesday, to have paid £30 million fee, thereby breaking their transfer record for the player from Portuguese side Benfica since joining them on loan in June 2018 until 2023.

Raul Jimenez is reported to have been directly involved in 19 of 40 Wolves premier league goals this season. He scored 12 goals and made 7 assists, No player for Wolves has ever matched that tally than him in a single campaign in the Premier League. He has cemented himself as Wolves number nine for a new generation of supporters.

On signing permanently for Wolves, Raul Jimenez said...
 "Its a great honour for me to now be a permanent player of the Nuno Espirito Santo's team. 
"I am very happy for this permanent deal as i feel being at Wolves suits me."

"Its been very nice that people inside the club, as well as the people outside, the supporters, are happy with me and that gives me extra motivation to continue doing my best on the pitch. Now i want to keep scoring, so that the fans can keep singing songs about me."

On the Wolves number nine, Raul Jimenez said that,
"I feel very good to be creating my own history with this famous number. I have always been a number nine, and since i was a child, it has always been a special number for me because all great strikers wear it."

"I want to make history here at the club with my teammates, I want to put back into the club back into the top places in the premier league. I think we all want that and have that ambition. But for my self personally, For the rest of the time i am here, I want to keep scoring and that is my main goal to always give my best"... said the Mexican forward.
