The Nigerian born-British boxer Anthony Oluwafemi Olaseni Joshua (AJ) has regained his World Heavyweight Championship titles after a rematch against the Mexican-American boxer Andy Ruiz Jr ( The Destroyer)....

Anthony Joshua Victorious over Andy Ruiz Jr.

Anthony Joshua after losing the belts in a stunning defeat in June 2019 at the Madison square garden, got his vengeance over Andy Ruiz, who was the first ever Mexican heavyweight champion at the time and the only boxer to have handed Joshua his first loss of his career.

The 2012 Olympic champion Joshua emerged Victorious at the end of the thrilling match by unanimous decision after twelve rounds and therefore becomes a two-time heavyweight champion regaining IBF, WBO and WBA titles in style.

Anthony Joshua now joins Muhammad Ali, Lenox Lewis, Floyd Patterson as the only men to have regained the world heavy weight title.

The 30-year-old Joshua revealed after the rematch saying;

"It was so nice the first time, I had to do it twice, I have also adapted my style after the loss to Ruiz in June".

"I just wanted to put on a great boxing masterclass and also show the sweet science of this lovely sport. It’s about hitting and not getting hit." Says AJ.
