Eden Hazard To Be Out Of Action For Real Madrid, After Suffering A Fracture In His Right Ankle.

Real Madrid have annouced that Eden Hazard has bern diagnosed with a fracture in his right ankle, and could be out for close to two months...

The 29-year-old Belgian forward, was forced off in the 67th minutes of Real Madrid away defeat to Levante on Saturday, and was replaced with Vinicius Junior afterwards. Jose Morales netted the only goal of the match for Levante in the 79th minutes, handing Zinedine Zidane side their first La Liga loss since last October.

Hazard who only returned last week in Madrid's 2-2 draw at home to Celta Vigo, after being out of action for three months due to a similar injury, is now set to miss the home games against Manchester City on Wednesday in the Champions league round of 16 and the El Classico next Sunday.

CloudNine Sports understands that Madrid spent more than €100 million to sign him away from Chelsea last summer when his contract was almost going to expire.

He has now missed more games for Madrid this season as he did in his seven seasons stay with Chelsea, playing 15 games, missed 20 games and 4 injuries.

Real Madrid drops to second place in the league standings with 53 points after that disappointing loss away to Levante, and are now 2 points behind league leaders Barcelona with 55 points.
