FIFA Ranking: Super Eagles of Nigeria Retains 31st position in the World and 3rd In Africa.

The latest FIFA World Ranking had been released on Thursday 20th February 2020....

The Super Eagles of Nigeria who finished third at the 2019 AFCON have been ranked 31st in the world and retains 3rd position in Africa.

Senegal the runners up at the 2019 AFCON are ranked number 20 in the world and First in Africa, while Tunisia is the Second team in Africa and 27th in the World.

The Super Eagles who are in Group L for the 2021 African Cup of Nations qualifiers to be held in Cameroon, remain the FIFA's highest ranked team in the group, alongside Benin who are ranked 88th in the world, Sierra Leone ranked 118, and Lesotho remain in 139th.

Nigeria is set to host Sierra Leone in thier third group stage match for the 2021 AFCON qualifiers on March 23, and then travel to Freetown some days later for the return-leg.

CloudNine Sports earlier reported that, Nigeria currently sits first in the group with 6 pionts after two games, Benin in second with 3 points, Lesotho and Sierra Leone in third and fourth place respectively with 1 points each.
