Togolese Legend "Emmanuel Adebayor" Joins Paraguayan Club Side Olimpia.

The 35-year-old, Adebayor has been without a club, before recently becoming a free agent having ended a three months spell with Turkish side Kayserispor last December, where he scored 2 goals in 8 appaerance for the club.

The move for Adebayor, Reunites him with his former Manchester City teammate Roque Santa Cruz, who joined the club in 2016 and the current captain, leading Olimpia to winning the 2018 Apertura, 2018 Clausura and 2019 Apertura titles.

Both Adebayor and Santa Cruz joined Manchester City in 2009, but neither forward was able to command a starting shirt for the club..

The former Tottenham and Arsenal striker joins his 10th different professional club in his career.

He has previously played for French clubs Metz and Monaco, before sealing a big move to England joining Arsenal in the January 2006 transfer window. He then moved to join Machester City under Mark Hughes  in the summer of 2009 after spending 3-years at Arsenal under Arsene Wenger at the time.

Adebayor during his stay at Man City, would go out on loan to both Real Madrid and Tottenham before completing a permanent move to White Hart Lane in 2012.

Since then, the former African footballer of the year (2008), has also featured for Crystal Palace, and Turkish clubs Istanbul Basaksehir and Kayserispor and now Club Olimpia.

Olimpia currently sits fifth in the early stages of their Apertura campaign, and President Marco Trovato promised to make a big splash by signing the veteran striker if the club signed up an additional 20,000 members over the weekend.

Adebayor has the most caps and currently the top-scorer for his native country Togo, having featured 87 times while scoring 32 goals for them.

He also has scored a total of 161 goals and created 52 assists, during his 446 league apaerances across four different countries.
