Watford Football Club Hands Liverpool Their First League Defeat Of The Season.

Watford football club on Saturday hands runaway league leaders Liverpool their first ever defeat in the Premier Leage of the season.


Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool who were yet to be defeated by any team this season after 27 round of games, suffers thier first defeat under Nigel Pearson's Watford team, in a match that ended 3-0 in favor of Watford at the Vicarage road.

Ismaila Sarr opened the scoring in the 54th minutes and added a second in the 60th minutes of the game. Troy Deeney nettef the third and final goal in the 72nd minutes on the night.

The defeat for Liverpool, ended the formidable 44 games in 422 days unbeaten run in the Premier League.

They now become the team with the second-longest unbeaten run  in English top-flight history, and thr second team to go unbeaten in the first 27 games of a season.

The Hornets, have won just twice against Liverpool at home in the Premier League, first was a 3-0 victory in December 2015, and now a 3-0 win in February 2020.

22-year-old Senegalese forward Ismaila Sarr becomes the second Watford player to score a brace against the Reds after Odion Ighalo.
