Liverpool's Goalkeeper Alisson Becker Suffers A Hip Injury.

Livepool's goalkeeper Alisson Becker will miss the Premier League game against Bournemouth on Saturday, and the Champions League return-leg fixture with Atletico Madrid both matches set to take place at Anfield.

The Brazil International missed the 2-0 FA Cup defeat to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday with reserve goalkeeper Adrian taking his place.

Manager Jurgen Klopp earlier revealed that Alisson suffered a problem in training before the Chelsea game and he was left behind to avoid any risks.

The 27-year old will now miss the home game against Bournmouth, and the Atletico’s Madrid visit to Anfield next Wednesday.

Diego Simeone’s men have a one goal advantage going into the tie, having won the first leg 1-0 at the Wanda Metropolitano.

Liverpool's manager Jurgen Klopp speaking in an interview says that he does not expect Alisson to be out of action for too long.

‘’I don’t want to say no, but I don’t know,’’ Klopp said when asked if the stopper will be fit to face Everton on March 16th.

‘’He’s not available for next week. Then we have to judge the situation. I would say that after the international break he’ll be a 100 percent fit, but before that I don’t know.’’

The Fifa best goalkeeper and the Copa America winner, will be suffering a second injury this season. He had earlier missed the opening two months of the season through injury.

Liverpool are currently top of the Premier League standings with 79 points after 28 matches, despite Watford ending their 44-match unbeaten run in the Premier League last weekend.
