Paul Pogba Is Set To Remain A Manchester United Player Despite Several Transfer Speculations .
Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba is set to be going nowhere, after the club has shown interest in extending his contract at Old Trafford.
The Frenchman has been mostly out of the squad due to injury. He has just made seven appearances in the league for United this season and hasn’t started a game since his last in the 1-1 home draw against Arsenal last September.
Pogba is reported to have returned to full training with the squad, and he has been putting extra effort to regain fitness by staying behind after Manchester United training to do personal 30-minute sessions with assistant coach Michael Carrick.
His contract with Manchester United is set to expire in June 2021, and amids speculations that he would be leaving United to join either Real Madrid or Juventus, the 27-year-old had confirmed his desire to stay with the Red Devils.
The 2018 World Cup winner, currently earns around £300,000 a week, and a new contract at Man United would take that to around £400,000 a week, with an option to extend it for an additional year.
United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjær speaking on Paul Pogba's contract with the club:
"Paul Pogba is our player. He has two years left on his contract, a year plus the option of another. All can say is that, You can expect Paul to be here next season, yeah."
