Real Madrid Defender Nacho, Has Lost A Relative Who Was Diagnosed Of Coronavirus.

Real Madrid defender Nacho Fernandez has lost an elderly relative who was diagnosed of coronavirus.


Nacho’s younger brother Alex Fernandez who plays for Cadiz in the Segunda division, made the tragic announcement for the family that an elder member has died.

According to reports more than 18,000 people in Spain have tested positive for coronavirus, and 1000 deaths have been recorded so far, one of which includes the Spanish Young coach Francisco Garcia '21' who died earlier this week.

Alex Fernandez speaking with Diario de Cadiz expressed his emotions;
‘it’s very strange, I’m gong through this difficult time like everyone else,”

"It’s super strange. But I’m doing the best I can with my family.
‘"In Madrid, there are people in our family that have tested positive for the virus and an elder member has now died.
"We can say that we have been affected.'

It’s something you never imagine you will go through. You’re never prepared for it, it’s impossible to expect.

"I always make regular contact with the family and apart from what happened with our elderly relative, we’re all safe, at home.
"We will stay at home for two more weeks, that’s the feeling based on what appears on the news"... The 27-year-old former Real Madrid and Espanyol player concluded.

CloudNine Sports Understands that Nacho Fernandez have played for only Real Madrid in his footballing career, and have so far  scored 2 goals in 13 appearance across all competitions for Zinedine Zidane team this campaign.

Nacho's recent goal was scored in the quater-final 4-3 defeat at home to Real Betis in the Copa del Rey, which saw his team Real Madrid shockingly crashed out of the competition.
