Good News,... As Italian Club Fiorentina, Annouces The Recovery Of Three First Team Players From The Deadly Coronavirus.

Italian football club Fiorentina, have announced that three of their first team players, Patrick Cutrone, German Pezzella and Dusan Vlahovic have all recovered from coronavirus.



Patrick Cutrone '22' who is currently on loan from Premier League club side Wolves, along with fellow the Serbian Dusan Vlahovic '20' who both play as strikers for the club, and Argentine defender German Pezzella '28', had all tested positive to the deadly virus last month.

They were quarantined afterwards in a bid to reduce the risk of the footballers spreading the virus to the rest of their teammates.

Italy which has been one of the most hit nations considering the number of reported cases and deaths since the outbreak, have now reported the lowest number of daily deaths in more than 2 weeks, with 525 new deaths reported over the past 24 hours, and 4,316 new cases.


CloudNine Sports had earlier reported on 10th March, that all sporting events in Italy had been suspended by the Italian government, which includes the serieA due to the growing spread of the virus.

Fiorentina made the official announcement on Sunday, through the clubs website;
"We are pleased to communicate that following the tests and clinical tests carried out in the last few days, the players Patrick Cutrone, German Pezzella and Dusan Vlahovic have tested negative at Covid 19."

"Once again we thank the doctors, nurses and hospitals who continue to lend its assistance to all those who need it in such a critical and delicate moment for the country and the whole world."


The serieA club, have started a fundraiser as they work together with Careggi Foundation and the Santa Maria Nuova Onlus Foundation via the Forza e Cuore campaign, which has exceeded the targeted €500,000 in just three days after the launching, and have now raised €760,000 at the moment, which will be used in  purchasing essential materials and tools to combat this terrible epidemic.




With 12 matchdays left to complete the  2019/20 SerieA season, Fiorentina have not been in a good form, as they currently have 30 points, which leaves them in 13th spot in the league standings, and 18 points behind finishing from the top four this season.
