Ander Herrera Heaps Praises On Man United Star Paul Pogba, And Believes He Can Be The Best Midfielder In The World While Playing For The Red Devils.

Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Ander Herrera has heaped praises on Manchester United star Paul Pogba, and believes he can be the best midfielder in the world while playing for the Red devils.



Herrera '30' who left Manchester United last summer, played alongside the Frenchman Paul Pogba at Old Tradford before joining the Ligue1 side on a free transfer.

Pogba's contract with Manchester United is set to expire in June 2021, but his future at the club remains uncertain as he has been continuously linked with a summer move to either Real Madrid and Juventus.

The World Cup winner, has been mostly out of the squad this term due to a reoccurring injuryand has just made seven appearances in the Premier League for United this season and hasn’t started a game for the side since last September.

He was reported to have returned to full fitness, and training with the squad before the season was halted in March, due to the novel coronavirus pandemic.


Speaking with ESPN, Ander Herrera believes he has no doubt just how good Paul Pogba can be;
"I haven't spoken with him for a long time and I don't know what he wants to do,"
"It's true that every day in the papers we can read that he wants to leave, or Manchester United are going to sell him, but I don't really know what he wants to do.

"Pogba can be the best midfielder in the world. In terms of qualities, he has everything. I have never seen a midfielder who has all the qualities you can have."
"He can recover a lot of balls, he can head the ball, he can score goals, he can defend, he can attack, he's so strong and tall."

The Spaniard reveals he loved to be paried in the midfield alongside Pogba during his time at Old Tradford, added that with the recent arrival of Portuguese meastro Bruno Fernandes are the club, Paul Pogba can achieve all he wants when paired with Bruno in the United midfield.
"It's true that since he came to the club he has some ups and downs, but when he was good, he was really good. Amazing. It was a pleasure to play with him," added Herrera.

"I think all the Manchester United fans want to see the best of Pogba. That can happen, and with Bruno Fernandes, I think Manchester United can do great things. Liverpool and Man City are also doing great things. It's not easy but with Paul, Bruno, Rashford, they can achieve greatness."

CloudNine Sports understands that Ander Herrera was later marginalised by United former managerJose Mourinho and often fell out favor, which prompted his move away from Old Trafford.

He scored 20 goals in 189 appearances for United during his five-year stay at the club.
