French Football Have Been Thrown Into Mourning Following The Death Of A Young Defender "Jordan Diakese" Who Dies At Age 24.
French football have been thrown into mourning, following the shocking death of former Paris Saint-Germain and France youngster Jordan Diakiese,aged 24.
Jordan Diakiese was reportedly found dead in Paris on Thursday, with the actual cause of death yet to be revealed.
His current club where he plays as right-back A.S. Furiani-Agliani announced the tragic news of the academy starlet via social media on Friday morning.
"Our club is in mourning today. It’s with deep and immense sadness that we’ve learnt of the death of our player Jordan D, 24, yesterday afternoon in Paris.
“After arriving last July, this amazing kid was a winner both on the pitch and beyond. Always smiling, discreet, hard-working, he settled in very quickly.
“The whole Furianinca family is reeling from the news. The staff, Jordan’s team mates, as well as all the directors and volunteers have been hit hard.
“Our thoughts are, first and foremost with his family, friends and loved-ones. Rest in peace, Jordan. You’ll always be a Furianincu lion.”
Diakiese was born in Paris, and started his football career as a defender at Paris-Saint-Germain academy but failed to break into the first team.
He had an ambition to play at the very top of his game, which led him to join Furiani-Agliani last year in order to revive his football career.
Furiani-Agliani is a Corsican club who currently plays in the Championnat National 3 Group D, of the French fifth lower division league system.
Ligue1 champions Paris-Saint-Germain also shared a photo of him to express their condolence via their official Twitter handle saying that they would never forget him in as much as the club continue to exist;
“A Paris native who arrived aged 13 at Paris Saint-Germain’s academy, Jordan Diakiese left only good memories with his coaches and his team-mates... The club wrote
“It is with great sadness we learn today of his death at the age of 24.
“Paris Saint-Germain send their condolences to his family, his relatives and his club.”
Jordan Diakiese played for France’s under-20 team on three occasions while in PSG’s academy, and also played in the UEFA Youth League during the 2013-24 season.
