Napoli Stunned Juventus To Be Crowned Champions Of The 2019/20 Coppa Italia.

Napoli defeats Juventus 4-2 on penaties to be crowned champions of the Coppa Italia for the sixth time.

The match which went down on Wednesday, was played behind closed doors at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome.

Napoli had the best scoring opportunities, Gigi Buffon performing heroics for Juventus as the match ended 0-0 at full time, and Buffon was eventually beaten in a penalty shoot-out.

Paulo Dybala saw his penalty kick been saved by Napoli's Goalkeeper Alex Meter, and Danilo missed his penalty over the crossbar.

Ramsey and Bonucci scored their penalties for Juventus on the night.

While Insigne, Politano, Maksimovic, and Milik all scored their penalties for Napoli.

The victory for Napoli gives them their first trophy since 2014 having defeated same Juventus on penalties.

They have now won the Coppa Italia for the sixth time in history (1961-62, 1975-76, 1986-87, 2011-12, 2013-14, 2019-20)

Gennaro Gattuso also wins his first trophy as manager of the side after only 17 games in charge.

Juventus boss Maurizio Sarri's will have to wait a while to win his first major domestic honour with the side.

Meanwhile Maurizio Sarri who was the former manager of Napoli didn't win a single trophy in his 147 games in charge of Napoli.
