Bayern Munich Announce The Signing Of Leroy Sane From Manchester City.

German club Bayern Munich have on Friday, officially announced the signing of Leroy Sané from Manchester City for £58.4million fee with add-ons.

The 24-year-old has put his name to a five-year contract until 30 June 2025 worth around £385,000-a-week.

CloudNine Sports reported two-weeks ago, that Leroy Sane who has a year left in his contract at the Etihad Staduim, had rejected an offer to sign a new deal as revealed by the Man City's manager Pep Guardiola.

The German international, only recently made his return to the City squad, after spending almost a year out with a serious knee ligament injury he suffered last August in the Community Shield match against Liverpool.

He worked his way back to full fitness and, made his first Premier League appearance of the season as a substitute against Burnley last week.

Sane signed for Manchester City in the summer of 2016, under manager Pep Guardiola scoring 39 goals in 135 matches in all competitions for the Citizens since joining from Bundesliga club Schalke in 2016.

He also won the Premier League twice in 2018 and 2019, the FA Cup once, three League Cups and two Community Shields, and also crowned the PFA young player of the year in 2017-18 season.

The transfer will see Sane end his four-year stay at City, as he will now be returning to his homeland to prepare for the upcoming season at the Allianz Arena next week, meaning he not be available for the German Cup final against Bayer Leverkusen in Berlin on Saturday.

He is Bayern's third new signing for next season alongside French teenage defender Tanguy Nianzou Kouassi from Paris Saint-Germain and goalkeeper Alexander Nuebel from Schalke, both of which were free transfers.
