BREAKING: Liverpool And Egyptian Star Mo Salah Test Positive For Coronavirus.

Liverpool star Mohamed Salah has tested positive for Covid-19, the Egyptian FA confirmed on Friday.



Salah who is currently away on an international duty with his country Egypt is not suffering from any symptoms, but will now undergo a period of self-isolation.

The Egyptian national team is set to host Togo in Cairo ahead of their 2022 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier on Saturday, before travelling for the return-leg next Tuesday at Stade de Kégué in Lomé.

The 28 year-old would also a doubt for Liverpool's Premier League game with Leicester City on November 22, and Champions League tie at home against Italian side Atalanta on November 25 due to the UK government coronavirus rules dictating a 10-day isolation period after a positive test to the virus.

Salah has now become the eighth first-team player to be out of action for the league champions, with Joe Gomez, Virgil Van Dijk, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Thiago Alcantara, Fabinho, Joel Matip, and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain all currently out due to injury.
