Bruno Fernandes Wins The Premier League Player Of The Month For The Third Remarkable Time.

Bruno Fernades has been awarded the Premier League  Player of the month of November 2020.

This would make it the third remarkable time that the Portuguese playmaker have emerged winner of the award since his move to Manchester United from Sporting CP in late January, having won the award in his debut month in the Premier League (February), and June last season.

In just in his 11 months stay at the Theatre of Dreams, Bruno Fernandes now has just one POTM award fewer than club legend and his fellow country man Cristiano Ronaldo who won the honour four times during his blistering spell in the Premier League.

The 26-year-old also becomes just the third Premier League player to win three POTM trophies in a calendar year, after Ashley Young in 2008 and Harry Kane in 2017.

Only 12 players in history have ever won the award more than three times.

With four goals, and one assist in four league games in November, Bruno Fernandes scooped the award ahead of Tottenham Hotspur’s Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Southampton's midfielder James Ward-Prowse, Aston Villa star man Jack Grealish, West Ham United defender Angelo Ogbonna, and Chelsea’s summer signing Ben Chilwell, who were also nominated for the award.

He also netted the only goal from the penalty spot as the Red Devils narrowly beat newly-promoted West Bromwich Albion at Old Trafford.

To add to his sensational performance in November, Fernandes scored Man United’s first goal in the incredible 3-2 comeback against Southampton, as well as assisting Edinson Cavani’s equaliser.

He was handed the award on Friday at United's Carrington training base, as the club prepare to host local rivals Manchester City on Saturday.

Bruno Fernandes already has seven goals and four assists to his name already in ten Premier League appearances this season so far.

In total, the 2019/20 United Player of the Year has made 24 Premier League appearances, scoring 15 goals and 11 assists.
