Sergio Aguero Closing In On An Imminent Transfer To Barcelona.

Manchester City star Sergio Aguero is closing in on Barcelona transfer.

The Argentine striker could be on his way to the Camp Nou as a free agent once his contract with the Premier League leaders expires in the summer.

As per stories in TyCSports.com, Barcelona and Aguero’s representatives have been on intense negotiations for a possible transfer. The report additionally claims that Barcelona have offered a two-year contract to the 32-year-old, and an agreement would be reached pretty shortly.

Another report from Catalan publication "La Porteira" states that Aguero is able to take a paycut which will see him link-up with his good friend and fellow compatriot Lionel Messi at Barcelona.

CloudNine Sports had reported last month that several other clubs are reportedly shown interest in Aguero, with Chelsea emerging top contenders, and now Manchester United and Leeds have also joined the mix.

Aguero’s hasn't really featured much for Pep Guardiola's squad this season, as injury is beginning to catch up with him, but would likely win a treble (Premier League, Carabao Cup, and Champions League) with the team this season before departing the Etihad stadium after a decade winning 10 trophies and as the club’s all-time leading goalscorer - -- 257 goals in 384 appearances.
