Thomas Tuchel Heaps Praises on Chelsea Star N'golo Kante After Sensational Performance Against Madrid

Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has heaped praises on French star N’Golo Kante.

Kante who is widely regarded as one of the top defensive midfielders in world football, has been a key part of Chelsea impressive form under Tuchel.

The 30-year-old midfielder put up a sensational performance in both legs of the Champions League semi-final clash againt Real Madrid while fasting for Ramadan, which saw him scoop the Man Of The Match Awards in both fixtures.

A selection of Chelsea fans on social media were left waxing lyrical about the performance of Kante who was a colossus in the centre of the park, and as well as being defensively solid too.

Kante has made over 200 appearances, scoring 11 goals since joining the Blues for £32m from Leicester City in July 2016.

His move from Leicester to Chelsea under Antonio Conte, saw him become the first player to win a back-to-back top-flight league title in England with two different teams since Eric Cantona in 1993.

He has gone on to win one Premier League title, one FA Cup, one Europa League title, and could possibly add the UEfA Champions League title in his five-years stay at Stamford Bridge.

Thomas Tuchel has revealed that he used to dream about coaching the World Cup winner N’Golo Kante even before he was appointed as Chelsea FC manager.

Tuchel has been earning praise for the impressive start he has made to life as Chelsea boss since having been brought in as Frank Lampard’s successor at the end of January this year, just after a month of been sacked by Paris Saint-Germain even though he took them to the final of the Champions League last season.

The Blues have shown significant signs of improvement in recent weeks, with Kante playing a major role in that.

Tuchel expressed his delight on Wednesday night at being able to coach Kante. The former PSG manager told a news conference: “The guy [Kante] is a top guy.

“He is the guy you need to win trophies and that’s why we’re are so happy he’s here and he’s at our club".. said the German manager.

“I was dreaming about this player and fighting for this player, dreaming about this player in any club I was coaching so now he’s my player.

“He’s won every trophy except for Champions League, hopefully he will do everything that we get this trophy and for me he’s an example he’s an unbelievable input for any team in the world.

“We are so happy he plays for us – he is key and will be key tomorrow in the best way possible.”

Tuchel last night, reach another milestone in the Champions League as he became the first manager to reach back-to-back finals with two different clubs.

However, Thomas Tuchel together with N'golo Kante and the rest of the Chelsea squad, would be hoping that they can get their hand on the Champions League trophy  when they face off with their Saturday Premier League opponent Manchester City in the final of the competition that takes place in Turkey Istanbul on Saturday, May 29, 2021.

Chelsea are currently in the mix for clinching the double this season (FA Cup and Champions League), and are on course to finishing in the Premier League’s top four.
