Man City Line Up A £100m Deal For Aston Villa Playmaker Jack Grealish.

Manchester City are closing in on a blockbuster move for the Aston Villa star Jack Grealish this summer.

City's priority for this transfer window has been a replacement for club legend Sergio Aguero who left the club to join Barcelona immediately after loosing the all-English Champions League final to Chelsea in Portugal.

The Premier League champions have shown interest in Spurs Harry Kane and Dortmund's Erling Haaland ad potential replacement, but both playees seems to be proving difficult to get, they have decided to seize the opportunity to opt-in for Grealish.

According to reports emerging on Friday morning, Man City are ready to splash the cash and spend a £100m on Jack Grealish as the Aston Villa captain anticipates a move to the Etihad this summer.

If the £100m deal goes through, it would see Grealish transfer to the Blue side of Manchester as a club and British record fee.

It would surpass the previous record of £89million that rivals Man United paid to Juventus to bring Paul Pogba back to Old Trafford in 2016.

Despite being one of the richest clubs on the planet, City transfer record currently stands at £64million they spent on bringing defender Ruben Dias from Benfica.

Grealish who came close to joining United last summer after saving Aston Villa from being relegated, signed a new five-year deal with the club in September, and talks are ongoing to offer him an improved deal.

The playmaker, has been with his boyhood club since the age of six, made his senior Villa debut in 2014, making 213 appearances and scored 32 goals.

A deal is not expected to be completed until England's participation in the ongoing Euro 2020 is over.

England prepare to face Germany in the round of 16 at Wembley on Tuesday and could be occupied until July 11 if they eventually reach the final.

The 25-year-old Playmaker, recently provided an assist for Raheem Sterling goal in his first start for the Three Lions at the Euro's against Czech Republic this week.

CloudNine Sports understands that Pep Guardiola who has long been an admirer of Grealish, is set to launch a radical overhaul of his squad with the futures of Bernardo Silva, Riyad Mahrez, Ilkay Gundogan and Raheem Sterling all looking uncertain this summer.
