OFFICIAL: Real Madrid Emerge 2021/22 La Liga Champions... Their 35th Title.

Real Madrid are 2021/22 La Liga Champions following a 4-0 win against Espanyol at the Santiago Bernabeu.

The Spanish gaints needed only a draw to win their 35th title in history but victory was never really in doubt.

Two goals from Rodrygo in the 33rd and 43rd minute, coupled with strikes from Marco Asensio in the 55th minute and Karim Benzema 81st minute saw them demolish Espanyol, and hands the Los Blancos the Spanish title.

They are 17 points clear of second-placed Sevilla with four games to play.

The victory makes it a total of 92 trophies won by Real Madrid in the club's history, extending their trophy lead over fierce rivals Barcelona who have won 90 trophies.

Marcelo becomes the most decorated Real Madrid player in history (16-years, 24 trophies).

It's another league title in the bag for Carlo Ancelotti.

He becomes the first manager to win the league in all five of Europe's major leagues, having won it with AC Milan in Italy's Serie A, PSG in France's Ligue 1, Chelsea in the Premier League and the German Bundesliga with Bayern Munich.

Real Madrid fans and players will look to add to their celebration in a crucial match against Manchester City in the return leg of the Champions League Semifinals, which will take place next Wednesday.

The first-leg ended 4-3 at the Etihad Stadium, and any two un-replied goals for Madrid will see them advance to the final at the Stade de France in Paris.
