Robert Lewandowski Agrees Personal Terms To Join Barcelona On A Three-Year Deal.

Robert Lewandowski has agreed personal terms to join the Spanish giants Barcelona on a three-year deal reports...

Lewandowski would be out of contract at the end of next season (2023), and has reportedly informed Bayern Munich that he won't sign a new contract having won all there is to win with the club, as he is seeking a new challenge.

The 33-year-old is set to ignore a move to Manchester City, Man United, PSG and Liverpool who have all been linked to him in favour of a move to the Camp Nou.

According to Polish Journalist Sebastian Staszewski, the Bayern Munich man has reached an agreement with Barcelona, penning a ‘multi-million contract’ lasting three years which was exactly what he demanded from his suitors.

However, he reckons that Barca will have to wait until the end of 2022/23 to get their man.

The Blaugrana side have made it public that they’re in the market for a top-level number nine striker this summer and while Erling Haaland was their top priority they were willing to look else where if needed.

Though it could prove difficult to sign Lewandowski this summer, but won't be a thing a year before the end of his contract where he would then be available on a free, and the Spanish side are ready to offer Sergino Dest in a part-exchange deal this summer.

If the move comes to fruition, Lewandowski would become the first Polish player to ever represent Barcelona.

The Polish prolific striker is one of the most lethal goalscorers in world football, scoring 46 goals in 40 games this season.

In his eight seasons with the Bavarians, he has gone on to become one of their greatest ever players and is only behind Gerd Muller in their all-time record scorer list.

He has found the back of the net 340 times in 369 matches since joining Bayern from rivals Borussia Dortmund in 2014.

The Blaugrana will now have to negotiate a transfer fee with Bayern Munich to complete the deal of the Poland captain before the start of the next season.

Barca have already made impressive progress since the appointment of club legend Xavi Hernandez as manager replacing Ronald Koeman who left October last year.

The club were in tenth position under Koeman, but now they are in second place behind rivals Real Madrid.

With the signing of Ferran Torres from Man City and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang who mutually terminated his contract with Arsenal in January has greatly improved the side under Xavi.

They are currently on a streak of 15 games unbeaten in the La Liga.

The arrival of a goalscorer of Lewandowski’s calibre could really elevate Xavi's team to the next level, as they seek to challenge Europe's best again.
