Thomas Tuchel And His Wife, Sissi Having A Divorce After 13 Years Of Marriage.

Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has separated from his former journalist wife Sissi after 13 years of marriage leaving him to face a multi million pound divorce settlement.

Thomas Tuchel is currently dealing with the collapse of his 13-year-old marriage, as per latest reports from the Daily Mail  just hours after shocking 4-1 defeat tat home to Brentford on Saturday afternoon.

The German manager, is surely going through a very tough time both at work and at home, while facing the fallout from government sanctions against Roman Abramovich, the club's owner of the club's Russian oligarch, Tuchel is also faced with the collapse of his 13-year marriage.

His wife, Sissi had started divorce proceedings last week, with friends saying “all possibilities have been exhausted” when it comes to hopes of reconciliation.

“Sissi and Thomas tried to avoid break up, but in the end there was no other way,” says a source close to the couple

“It’s very sad and now it’s about making sure their daughters are the top priority. The papers were submitted last week to get the divorce started.’

The former journalist Mrs Tuchel, moved to the UK in August, seven months after her husband joined Chelsea from the French club Paris Saint-Germain.

Thomas Tuchel initially stayed in a hotel before the family set up home in Cobham, Surrey, near the club's training ground.

Tuchel, who is reportedly being paid £7million a year, now faces a multi-million-pound divorce deal.

His wife gave up her job at the German newspaper Süddeutsche Zeitung to bring up their family, so may be entitled to a slice of his future earnings as well as up to half of his current fortune.

The couple have 2 daughters, Emma and Kim, who will no doubt be their top priority as they are determined to keep the divorce amicable.

Just ten months ago, Sissi was seen running across the pitch at Porto's Estadio do Dragao before leaping into her husband's arms after Chelsea secured a 1-0 victory over Manchester City  in the final last year.

The 46-year-old Sissi has been credited with playing a major part of Tuchel's success, helping her husband to excel during his managerial career while he won trophies in Germany, France and England.

'Sissi is no fool, she isn't your archetypal footballer's wife, she is a clever woman,' the source added.

Tuchel has been praised for the way in which he has coped with the restrictions placed on Chelsea after Abramovich was sanctioned following Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

Chelsea were handed a devastating 4-1 defeat at home by Brentford in the Premier League just after returning from the international break yesterday.

They prepare to host Real Madrid on Wednesday in the first-leg of the Champions League quarter-finals, as Tuchel had declined to respond to a request for comment on the situation with his marriage.
