ROMA HAVE WON THEIR FIRST TROPHY IN 14 YEARS! THE JOSE MOURINHO EFFECT!

Roma have emerge champions of the inaugural Europa Conference League following a 1-0 victory against Feyenoord on Wednesday night.

The triumph is also Roma’s first ever UEFA-recognised European crown.

The game which went down at the Arena Kombetare in Tirana Albania, saw Nicolò Zaniolo does well to nudge it into the net, having stayed onside to collect Gianluca Mancini's pass. That's the first ever goal in a Conference League final.

It is a memorable night for the  Roma, who win their first trophy since the 2008 Coppa Italia, while this was also the first European trophy lifted by an Italian side since the Champions League won by Mourinho's Inter in 2010.

The victory means that Jose Mourinho had become the first ever manager to win European trophies with four different clubs after leading Roma to Europa Conference League glory against Dutch side Feyenoord.

The Portuguese coach had already won the Champions League with Porto and Inter Milan, as well as the Europa League with Manchester United in 2017. He was already the first to reach European finals with four different clubs as he writes his name into history.

He still remains unbeaten in five European finals he has played; Porto 3-2 Celtic (UEL), Porto 3-0 Monaco (UCL), Inter 2-0 Bayern (UCL), Man United 2-0 Ajax (UEL), and now Roma 1-0 Feyenoord (UECL).
