Cristiano Ronaldo Reveals Why He Left Real Madrid In The Summer Of 2018.

This summer, Cristiano Ronaldo could make a sensational  returnto Real Madrid.

United was obliged to sell Ronaldo in 2009 after Real Madrid made a world-record £80 million bid for him.

He went on to write his name into the history books at the Bernabeu, scoring 450 goals and 132 assists in 438 Matches and leading the club to four Champions League titles.

The 37-year-old forward has delivered another outstanding season of goals at Man United after his £12.85 million switch from Juventus last summer. Despite United's shocking form, Ronaldo has scored 23 goals in total more than any other player combined, and 17 in the Premier League despite playing in a poor team.

Despite signing a two year deal, with the option of an extra year on his return, Ronaldo's future in Manchester is now uncertain following the current situation at the club, most especially now with the imminent arrival of Ajax boss Erik ten Hag who is ready to start a huge rebuild this summer after Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was sacked in November and replaced by interim boss Ralf Rangnick.

However, the Red Devils may be on the verge of losing their talisman, with Real Madrid willing to re-sign him.

Speaking on what made him leave Real Madrid initially to join Juve in the summer of 2018 for a reported fee of €100 million ending his eight years stay with the Spanish giants, Ronaldo said:

"I had the feeling inside the club, especially from the president, that they didn't think of me the same way they did at the beginning," he stated.

"I had the feeling of becoming 'Cristiano Ronaldo' for the first four or five years there."

"After that, it'll be less. The president looked at me with eyes that didn't want to express the same thing, as if I wasn't as important to them as I used to be, if you understand me."

The difference is that, at Juve, they really wanted me. They told me that and made it clear. They showed me that.

“The truth is that the president wanted me but, at the same time, he made it known to me that my departure would not constitute a problem.”

Ronaldo left shortly after Zinedine Zidane stepped down as Real boss for the first time, after winning his third consecutive Champions League with the Casa Blanca in Kiev against Liverpool.

But the Portuguese international also insisted that the exit of the Frenchman wasn’t behind his own departure.

“My decision to leave was not based on his departure,” he said.

"In that instance, it's one of those insignificant things that made me feel a little better about the situation at the club."

Despite Ronaldo's dissatisfaction with Perez's treatment, the two have reconciled and put their disagreements behind.

In 2019, the five time Ballon d'Or winner was invited to witness the El Clasico and appeared to have a good time as Real won.

And now it's possible he'll play at the Bernabeu once again, with Los Blancos hoping for a memorable summer final.
