Tottenham Agrees A Deal To Sign Richarlison From Everton.

Tottenham are on the verge of completing the signing of Richarlison from Everton after agreeing on fee late on Wednesday night.

Everton had rejected a £40m bid from Tottenham yesterday for Richarlison, but  Spurs improved their offer, which is  set to be £50m plus £10m in add-ons rising to £60m, as the player is now set to undergo a medical in the coming days in Brazil ahead of completing the move according to Sky Sport.

Richarlison joined Everton for £50 million from Watford in 2018.

The 25-year-old scored 53 goals in 152 appearances for the Toffees, crucially netting six times in his final nine games of last season to keep the Merseyside club in the Premier League.

The striker is a key target for Antonio Conte, who wants to add more depth to his attack, and negotiations over the transfer are close to being finalised.

Richarlison's move to Spurs would see him fulfill his desire of eventually playing Champions League football, but he faces stiff competition to play regularly with Harry Kane and Son Heung-min occupying the positions he played most often for Everton.

He would be Tottenham fourth signing of the summer transfer window having already signed Croatian winger Ivan Perisic, midfielder Yves Bissouma and a new back-up goalkeeper in Fraser Forster, as they begin their preparations for next season.

Tottenham are also close to a deal to bring the defender Clément Lenglet on loan from Barcelona for the season. The 27-year-old, who has 15 France caps, started seven La Liga matches in the 2021-22 campaign.
