BREAKING: Rodri Officially Extends His Stay At Man City
The Spanish midfielder has signed a contract that will keep him at the Etihad Stadium through the summer of 2027, when he will have played for City for eight seasons.
The 26-year-old, who has been instrumental in Pep Guardiola's team's success since his arrival in July 2019, says it was a simple decision and that there is no other place he would rather be playing football.
He told the club's official website, "I always thought this was my home since the first day I got here."
Of course, you have to get used to a new place and a new club, but I was also quite delighted to be at City. Every day that I play at the Etihad, I feel like it is my second family.
"It was a simple renewal for me; I had no reservations about continuing to work at the Etihad.
"I want to change the history of this club, and I am really happy of what I have accomplished over the past three years here.
"I am thrilled to stay here because I think we have accomplished incredible things over the past three years, and we want to do even more."
