OFFICIAL: Kalvin Phillips Finally Completes Move To Man City
Midfielder Kalvin Phillips has been officially signed by Manchester City for an estimated £45 million to £50 million on a six-year deal after leaving Leeds United.
England international Phillips has left his childhood club, where he progressed through the system and thrived under former manager Marcelo Bielsa, after reaching a personal agreement and passing a physical.
The 26-year-old, who will don the No. 4 jersey, will aim to fill Fernandinho's shoes at City after the Brazilian left the team this summer following nine years at the Etihad Stadium.
"I'm incredibly happy to have joined Man City," Phillips exclaimed.
With a magnificent squad and a manager in Pep Guardiola who is rightfully regarded as the best in the world, City have once again demonstrated why they are the best team in the nation.
"I'm really pleased about the potential of being able to play under Pep, learn from him and his coaching staff, and be a part of a terrific squad.
City is a top-tier club with top-tier personnel and resources. Choosing to join is a dream come true.
