OFFICIAL: Nahuel Molina Join Atletico Madrid From Udinese

Atletico Madrid has completed the signing of Udinese defender, Molina.

In a club release, The Spanish Club announced the completion of the transfer of Nahuel Molina from Italian club Udinese.

After a lengthy transfer controversy, the Argentine defender has signed a five-year contract with Civitas Metropolitano.

With addition of 24-year-old full, Diego Simeone will have finally a natural right-back to take over for Kieran Trippier.

Atletico has had to find other ways to function without the Englishman ever since he left for Newcastle United during the January transfer window. They'll be hoping that buying Molina would bring back some much-needed balance.

He started his professional career with Boca Juniors in Buenos Aires before moving to Europe four years after making the first squad and following loan stints with Defensa y Justicia and Rosario Central.

In the 68 appearances he's made for Udinese since moving there, he has provided ten goals and ten assists in all competitions.

The Argentine defender has so far received 16 caps for the Argentina national team. He was also part of the squad that won the Copa America last year to end Argentina 28-year major trophy drought.

Atletico Madrid finished Third position last season behind Barcelona and Real Madrid who won the league, The Simeone led side will be looking to challenge for the league this season.
