PSG Makes An Offer To Sign Man United Target Frenkie de Jong.

PSG is said to have made an offer for Frenkie de Jong, who is wanted by Manchester United.

Barcelona appears keen to get rid of the midfielder in order to decrease their wage bill and create finances to pay off debts, sign new players, and acquire new players.

According to El Nacional, The French team has made an offer of €60 million for the midfielder. Nasser Al-Khelaifi, the club's CEO, is said to be a fan of the former Ajax player.

Frenkie de Jong joined Barcelona from Ajax for €75 million in 2019. He has been a regular starter for the club the last three seasons and was a key element of Xavi's starting lineup in 2021-22.

Barcelona's poor financial predicament, on the other hand, has pushed them to consider selling some of their valued assets. This summer, the team signed Andreas Christensen, Franck Kessie, Raphinha, and Robert Lewandowski, but will have to sell some players to balance the books.

During the club's pre-season, Barcelona made it obvious that they wanted to break ways with Frenkie de Jong. The Dutch midfielder appeared as a substitute in all three of Barcelona's friendlies, and he was even used as a center-back.

Manchester United reportedly offered €80 million for the Dutchman's services. After parting ways with Paul Pogba and Nemanja Matic last month, the club is in serious need of midfield reinforcements.

Erik ten Hag, the Red Devils' new manager, is eager to reunite with former Ajax sensation Frenkie de Jong at Old Trafford. The 25-year-old, however, is hesitant to join a club that will not compete in the Champions League next season.

As per Sky Sports, PSG were interested in signing Paul Pogba last month because they were looking for a world-class midfielder to partner Marco Verratti next season. The Frenchman, on the other hand, chose to join Juventus. As a result, the club is hoping to sign Frenkie de Jong but will only pay €60 million for his services.
