Zlatan Ibrahimovic Extends His Contract With AC Milan

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has extended his contract with AC Milan by one year, keeping him with the team until he turns 41.

The striker from Sweden, who will turn 41 in October, helped Milan defeat rival Inter to win the Serie A title last year with eight league goals.

He underwent knee surgery in May, and the recovery time was eight months.

At the conclusion of the season, Ibrahimovic admitted that the pain had kept him from sleeping most of the previous six months.

In 2020, the former striker for Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain joined AC Milan again and contributed to their first league championship in 11 years.

The club announced today that Zlatan Ibrahimovic's contract with the seven-time European champions AC Milan has been extended by one year.

"Zlatan Ibrahimovic's contract has been extended by AC Milan till June 30, 2023. The number 11 shirt will remain on the Swedish attacker, according to a statement.

Ibrahimovic, who will be 41 in October, had left knee surgery in May, which would probably limit his playing time for the remainder of 2022.
