Chelsea Are Interested In Signing Man United Captain Harry Maguire.

Chelsea has reportedly made a shock enquiry about the availability of Manchester United captain, Harry Maguire.

This comes amid growing doubt over the England defenders future at Old Trafford, following a below par performance in recent times which has attracted so much criticism. 

United have endured a terrible start to the season, losing woefully against Brighton & Hove Albion and Brentford, as they currently sit bottom of the table.

It's unsure if Maguire would be in new Manager (Erik ten Hag) plans ahead of what already seems to be a long season for the Red Devils. There's a growing if Maguire would make the starting XI for Monday's clash against Liverpool at Old Trafford.

Ten Hag has finally managed to address his midfield issues with the club confirming that a deal had been reached to bring in Real Madrid star Casemiro. 

The Blues are struggling to complete a deal for Wesley Fofana, and according to the Daily Mail, they have identified Maguire as a possible option if they fail to land the Leicester City's defender.

Fofana still remains Chelsea’s priority, with manager Thomas Tuchel desperate to sign another centre-back.

Sources claims that they could reach a deal for the French defender next week, after the centre-half requested to be left out of Leicester’s game against Southampton on Saturday.

The West London club have lined up Maguire as an alternative part of a swap deal that would see U.S. captain Christian Pulisic move to Old Trafford. 

Pulisic '23', is set to hold talks with Chelsea about his future, which could include Pulisic pushing to leave the club despite two years remaining on his contract, as he wants more game time ahead of the World Cup in November.

United are keen to bring in another forward but have seen their €80m bid for Anthony rejected by Ajax. The Brazilian winger is reported to have trained alone on Friday as he looks to force an exit, and could be left out of the starting XI on Sunday.
