Man United Set To Hijack Aubameyang Deal From Chelsea

In light of the big roadblock in Chelsea's bid to get the former Arsenal captain, Manchester United has launched a new effort to sign Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

After an ugly split from Arsenal, the 33-year-old striker moved to Barcelona in January, where his goals helped the Catalan giants reach the Champions League.

Due to the club's precarious financial situation and the signing of Robert Lewandowski in the summer, Barcelona has been obliged to sell one of its prized possessions.

Thomas Tuchel, who is eager to acquire a new forward to reinvigorate his sputtering attack, had appeared to be close to welcoming Aubameyang back to London.

Chelsea and Barcelona were close to reaching a £25 million deal, but, according to The Sun, settling on personal conditions has proven to be more difficult than expected.

Given that they already have RB Leipzig's Christopher Nkunku on their want list for the upcoming summer, the Blues are only willing to grant Aubameyang a one-year contract and view him as a temporary solution to their attacking issues.
