Cristiano Ronaldo Decides To Remain At Man United After Casemiro’s Arrival.

Cristiano Ronaldo is believed to have decided on his future at Manchester United following the arrival of his former Real Madrid teammate, Casemiro to the club.

The Portuguese icon will continue playing at Old Trafford to complete the second year of the contract with the former English champions.

According to the most recent update from Portuguese football transfer expert, Pedro Almeida, revealed that Casemiro's dramatic signing with Man United has played a huge role in the dynamics surrounding Ronaldo's uncertainty.

The new United signing Casemiro whose arrival was confirmed on Friday evening will see Ronaldo gain a close ally at the club. United paid an initial fee of £60million plus a further £10m in potential add-ons to sign the Brazilian international, as the Madrid star became their prime focus after their moves for Adrien Rabiot and Frenkie de Jong broke down.

Man United was the first ever club to make Casemiro think. The overall package, the relationship with Ronaldo and Varane and the feeling of importance weight heavily. He will say goodbye to Real Madrid and then travel to Manchester for the game vs Liverpool.

Casemiro and Ronaldo were teammates at Real Madrid between 2013 and 2018, except for the 2014-15 season that the midfielder spent on loan at FC Porto. The Brazilian regularly spoke of his admiration for Ronaldo as a teammate and rated the five-time Ballon d'Or winner as among the very best ever footballers.

Ronaldo who only returned to the Theatre of dreams last season after spending 12 years away at Real Madrid and Juventus, was seriously pushing for an exit from Old Trafford.

The Red Devils had a terrible last season as they finished sixth in the table despite Ronaldo's individual brilliant performance. He scored 24 goals, 18 in the Premier League and six in the Champions League last season.

United started the disastrous 2021/22 season with Ole Gunner Solskjaer who was sacked mid-season, and the appointment of Ralf Rangnick as the caretaker for the remainder of the season, before they finally appointed former Ajax manager Erik ten Hag as the new full-time manager.

Unfortunately, United would not play Champions League this season, and would only play in the Europa.

Pedro Almeida stated that, Ronaldo has communicated to the Red Devils' board about his decision to stay for another season.

Almeida wrote on Twitter on Sunday morning: “Cristiano accepts to stay in @ManUtd. #Casemiro’s arrival was important for the decision. This is the info!
