Haaland Shines Again As Man City Beat Copenhagen To Go Top Of UCL Group

Erling Haaland scored twice as Manchester City defeated FC Copenhagen 5-0 at the Etihad Stadium in the Champions League.

With his very first touch of the game, the Norwegian scored the first goal if the game, and doubled the advantage before halftime. This was his 19th goal for Man City already this season in just 12 appearances.

It's also his 28 goals in 22 Champions League games, has already scored more goals than all but 27 players in UCL history.

In a lopsided match, David Khocholava's own goal and a Riyad Mahrez penalty added insult to injury for the Danes. 

Julian Alvarez then made it five with his first Champions League goal late in the game after excellent work by Jack Grealish. For City, it was that simple.

Haaland was replaced at halftime, with Pep Guardiola's team confidently advancing into the knockout stages after accumulating nine points through their first three games. They are eight points ahead of Sevilla in third position in Group G.
