Mo Salah Scores Fastest-Ever Champions League Hattrick, As Liverpool Thrashed Rangers 7-1.

Substitute Mohamed Salah scored a hat-trick in the shortest time in Champions League history as Liverpool crushed Rangers 7-1 on Wednesday night.

Last week at Anfield, Jurgen Klopp's team cruised to a 2-0 victory over a hesitant Rangers team, but this week, there was initially more resistance, as the Light Blues seized the lead in the 17th minute on a Scott Arfield drive.

Those who supported Rangers believed that Ibrox could help them achieve a much-needed victory in their first Champions League campaign in 12 years, and they took heart from Liverpool's injury difficulties.

Following Sunday's 3-2 loss to Arsenal, Luis Diaz, Joel Matip, and Trent Alexander-Arnold were added to the roster, while Salah, Thiago, and Diogo Jota were benched. Nevertheless, the Egyptian King would later garner attention.

Mo Salah had been left out of the starting line-up, but singlehandedly took the scoreline from 3-1 to 6-1 in a matter of minutes after coming off the bench.

Salah's hat-trick time of six minutes and 12 seconds beats the record previously set by Bafetimbi Gomis, who netted three in eight minutes for Lyon against Dinamo Zagreb in the 2011-12 Champions League group stage.

He becomes the 8th African to score a Hat-trick in the UEFA Champions League, and the player with the most goals for an English club in the competition (38 goals in six seasons for Liverpool) more than Didier Drogba's (36 goals in eight seasons for Chelsea), and Sergio Aguero's 36 goals in ten seasons for Man City).

With two games left, Liverpool is three points behind group A leaders Napoli and six points ahead of Ajax, wile Rangers has no point.
