Potter Praises Broja As The Blues Overpower Wolves To Secure All Three Points.

Kai Havertz, Christian Pulisic, and Armando Broja helped Chelsea defeat managerless Wolverhampton Wanderers 3-0 at Stamford Bridge on Saturday afternoon to move up to fourth place in the Premier League.

Following the sack of Bruno Lage as manager midweek, interim coaches Steve Davis and James Collins were unable to build any new momentum for the Wolves, who lost their third game in a row.

BAlbanian attacker Broja scored his first goal for the Blues to stun the struggling visitors, with Mason Mount setting up Havertz and Pulisic to score.

Broja, a lifelong supporter of Chelsea, was overjoyed to score his first goal as a senior, capping a historic week for Graham Potter's stint at Stamford Bridge.

Under progressive coach Potter, Chelsea lined up with yet another new system and several adjustments was made from the last game against Milan.

Seven changes were made by new Blues manager Potter from Wednesday's 3-0 thrashing of AC Milan in the Champions League, as the West London club outclassed the visitors and cruised to victory. 

Just before the end of half-time, Havertz headed in from Mount's cross to solidify the home team's superiority, the goal made the difference at the break.

The advantage for the home team was later increased by a much improved Pulisic's deft dink in the 54th minute, with Mount once more providing the assist.

At that precise moment, substitute Broja was threaded through by Kovacic, who then cut back from the defensive cover to score in the 90th minute.

Chelsea definitely seems to be back on track after a turbulent start to the season which saw the sack of Thomas Tuchel and was replaced with former Brighton's manager Graham Potter.

Potter expressed his delight with Armando Broja after he scored his first ever Chelsea goal.

The 21-year-old striker fired in a low finish to the bottom corner, which marked a memorable first ever senior goal for him in Chelsea colours.

Broja made his ninth appearance of the season today, with all of them coming as a substitute.

"It’s his first goal and he’s been having an impact off the bench. You can see what he brings to the team. Again, he’s having to be patient but he’s working hard in training and I think that goal is a big goal for him... Potter said.

"The boys from the Academy are vital. They bring an understanding of the culture of the club, demands of the club, what’s required in terms of environment.

"They’ve come from a fantastic education from the Academy so they’re good people and they’re good footballers. Our job now is to maximise their potential, which is really exciting."
