Cristiano Ronaldo: "I Feel Betrayed By Man United And I Don't Respect Erik ten Hag" (Watch Video).
Manchester United striker Cristiano Ronaldo has made damning accusations against his current employers, teammates and former associates which may have seen him already played his part game for the club.
He had earlier promised in August to speak out about the recent happenings in the club, after failing to secure a move away from Old Trafford to a club playing in the Champions League, as he had hoped.
The Portuguese veteran striker has now broken his silence, as he spoke to a renowned British journalist and personal friend of his, Piers Morgan in a 90-minutes long bombshell interview released by The Sun on Sunday night.
In a video clip released alongside the written interview, Ronaldo was asked if he felt he was being forced out of the club, "I feel betrayed,"... He responded.
"Not only the coach, there are two or three more guys around the club who want me out.
"Honestly, I don't know. I don't care. People should hear the truth. Yes, I felt betrayed. Some people don't want me here not only this year, but last year too.
Ronaldo, who re-joined the Red Devils from Juventus in August 2021, finished as the club's top scorer in all competitions last season with 24 goals after a dismal season saw them finish out of the Champions League positions in sixth place.
Unfortunately the relationship between him and new manager Erik ten Hag is broken.
The five-time Ballon d'Or winner has endured a difficult start to the 2022/23 season that has been marred by behavioural incidents and a decline in form on the pitch.
He's since been used in a reduced role by Ten Hag and was dropped completely after leaving the field early against Tottenham in October and refusing to come on as a substitute in the game.
"I don’t have respect for him (Ten Hag) because he doesn’t show respect for me. If you don’t have respect for me, I’m never gonna have respect for you."
"I feel betrayed."

Ronaldo also laments that there has been "zero progress" at the club since Sir Alex Ferguson retired in the summer of 2013. I don't know what's going on. I have not seen any evolution. The club is not living up to its history and that is why it is not competing with the best.
"For example, an interesting point is how a club like Manchester United sacked Ole (Gunnar Solskjaer), they bring in a sporting director Ralf Rangnick on an interim basis which is something nobody understands. "This guy is not even a coach!
"If you’re not even a coach, how are you going to be the boss of Manchester United? I’d never even heard of him (Rangnick). It surprised not only me but all the world.
"Nothing changes. Not only the jacuzzi, the pool, even the gym. Even some points of technology, the kitchen, the chefs - who I appreciate, lovely people! They stop in time which surprised me a lot.
"I thought I would see different things, technology, infrastructure. Unfortunately, we see many things I'm used to seeing when I'm 21, 22, 23. It surprised me a lot.
The loss of one of his sons during childbirth was a huge blow for Cristiano Ronaldo and there again he reportedly felt no support from the club. He says they lacked "empathy", especially when his three-month-old daughter was hospitalized in July and could not join the preseason when scheduled because he wanted to be with her. The club doubted his word and that made him feel hurt.
"Since Sir Alex Ferguson left I saw no evolution in the club, the progress was zero."

"I think the fans should know the truth," he added. "I want the best for the club. This is why I come to Man United.
"But you have some things inside that don't help us reach the top level as Man City, Liverpool and even now Arsenal...a club with this dimension should be top of the tree in my opinion and they are not unfortunately."
The 37-year-old was also critical about former United team-mate Wayne Rooney after the Englishman made him to be a "black sheep" by saying he is in danger of becoming an "unwanted distraction" at Old Trafford.
Ronaldo said of Rooney: "I don't know why he criticises me so badly...probably because he finished his career and I'm still playing at a high level.
"I'm not going to say that I'm looking better than him. Which is true"... he added with a smile.
On a message to the fans, Ronaldo said; "They are the most important thing in soccer, you play for them. They are always on my side. For me they are everything. That's why I'm giving this interview, because it's the right time to say what I think."
CloudNine Sports understands that Ronaldo's contract with United expires at the end of the 2022/23 season, but the club has the option to extend it for another year.
He last played for the Red Devils in the 3-1 defeat against a rejuvenated Aston Villa side under Unai Emery, which he was made captain of the side.
Ronaldo was told on Thursday that he would not be in the starting XI against Fulham but he would have been in the squad. He told the club he was ill.
