OFFICIAL: Sadio Mane RULED OUT Of The Entire 2022 FIFA World Cup, Senegal Announced.

Sadio Mané will miss the 22nd edition of the FIFA World Cup in Qatar, Senegal confirms. He will not be able to be part of the squad as he’s not recovering from his injury.

The Senegalese star man was injured in Bayern's last game before the break.

Despite the injury, Mane, 30, was named in Senegal's 26-man squad for the mundial.

Senegal still had hopes of seeing Mané take his team to the World Cup in Qatar, after being announced that he would only miss the first few games.

CloudNine Sports reported on Tuesday, that Senegal's football federation said Mane would miss only their "first games" of the tournament.

Unfortunately, the Bayern striker has not yet recovered from his injury and is finally out of the tournament. The doctor of the Senegalese selection has also announced that Mané will soon have surgery.

Head coach Aliou Cisse will now have to plan without his star man going forward.

The ex-Liverpool attacker led his nation to an Africa Cup of Nations triumph in February this year, as he scored the winning penalty that saw the Teranga Lions beat Egypt in a penalty shootout in the final and lift the trophy for the first-time ever.

Mane repeated the same feat against his former Reds teammate Mo Salah, netting the decisive spot-kick as Senegal beat Egypt on penalties in a crunch play-off late in March.

The win saw the reigning African champions grab one of Africa's five tickets for the World biggest sporting event in Qatar.

Senegal begin their campaign against the Netherlands in Group A on Monday, before facing host nation Qatar on November 25, and Ecuador on November 29 in same group.
