Davido To Perform At The Closing Ceremony Of The 2022 FIFA World Cup In Qatar.

Popular Nigerian music superstar David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido is reportedly set to perform live on the stage at the closing ceremony of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.


The grieving singer had been away from social media and public events since the tragic death of his three-year-old of his son, Ifeanyi on October 31, 2022

Ifeanyi who is Davido's only son, drowned in a pool at his residence in Banana Island, Lagos, and he as continued to attract prayers from fans, friends and well-wishers.


Though many were overjoyed to finally get a glimpse of the DMW boss and his partner, Chioma Rowland during the inauguration ceremony of his uncle, Ademola Adeleke as the sixth governor of Osun State on Sunday, November 27, 2022.



He is now set to return live on stage for the first time in about two months with a landmark performance at the closing ceremony of the World's biggest sporting event in Qatar.


This was disclosed by a Chinese businessman, Stephen Hung, who shared the news via his Instagram story on Thursday.

“So happy my bro #davido confirmed he will be performing at the World Cup Qatar closing ceremony. Can’t wait to see him there.” He wrote.



Davido had previously put up an iconic performance in Qatar months back, at the 2022 FIFA world cup draw. 


His fans recently held a heartwarming concert in his honor as they celebrated the icon in a show that has been described as the ultimate display of love.


The closing ceremony of the World Cup is set to take place on Sunday, December 18, 2022 and Davido will be performing the Qatar World Cup anthem ‘Hayya Hayya (Happy Together)’ alongside Trinidad singer, Cardona and Qatar singer, Aisha.
