Real Madrid Prepared To Pay €1bn Transfer Package For Kylian Mbappe.

Real Madrid are expected to go all out for Paris-Saint Germain forward Kylian Mbappe next summer, and are ready to spend almost £1bn to bring the World Cup star to the club.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, his salary would cost €630m (£554m) for the next four seasons, with a transfer fee of €150 million, signing-on bonus and commissions taking the total of the transfer valuation beyond the £1bn mark.

The aforementioned figure does sound preposterous and astronomical, but this is because Real Madrid left furious after all efforts to land Mbappe last summer failed.

They had already submitted three bids, the highest of which was €200 million, in the summer of 2021.

The 24-year-old former AS Monaco forward, was expected to leave the French champions for their Spanish counterparts at the end of last season, when his previous contract at the club was due to expire. However, to much surprise, he chose to renew at the Parc des Princes, signing a two-year contract until 2024 with the option of a further year.

Mbappe, who won the 2018 edition of the FIFA World Cup, is considered to be the next megastar in world soccer.

The France international scored a hat-trick in France’s 2022 World Cup final defeat to Argentina in Qatar last Sunday, becoming the first player to score a hat-trick in the World Cup final in 56 years.

He managed to win the Golden Boot award for being the top scorer if the tournament with eight goals.

The La Liga champions, have listed several top-level performers but Mbappe is said to be topping the list as Florentino Perez is convinced of his capabilities mostly because he sees him as a perfect investment not only from a business point of view but also from a sporting sense.

Their current top striker Karim Benzema is slowly fading away, as the 35-year-old Ballon d'Or winner has been struggling with injuries, which has put Madrid in a state of alarm as they need someone to lead the line next season and for that, they believe Mbappe is a perfect candidate.
